As many of you may or may not know there is a tradition among golfers that is an "unofficial" rule. If a golfer is lucky enough to strike the ball well enough to get a hole in one, he will celebrate properly after his round is over. That celebration includes buying a round of drinks at the bar at that particular golf club. This unofficial rule is almost always followed. Normally, the golfer is thrilled to fulfill the obligation.

The Costa Mesa Golf Club has created a Hole In One Insurance Pool to help cover the cost of these drinks. An insurance claim will only be paid if you make your Hole In One at a Costa Mesa Golf Club sponsored event and witnessed by at least 2 other club members. There is no fee to enter the “Hole In One Insurance Pool” and the pot is $500. You are automatically entered as a part of your full regular annual membership.

You can also submit your “Ace” to the SCGA and they will send you a SCGA certificate.
